Matt Plauny

Matt is a licensed professional clinical counselor who has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples.  He earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walsh University in 2019.  Matt has experience working in the mental health outpatient, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and school-based settings, providing an individualized treatment approach. He has experience and special interest in the support of clients managing trauma, the LGBT+ community, and social-cultural diversity. 

Matt utilizes approaches in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based clinical intervention to provide balanced and flexible treatment.  Areas of focus in practice include education and management of depression, anxiety disorders, addictions, major life changes, conflicts of identity or sexulaity, and trauma.  Matt enjoys working collaboratively with individuals to help meet their personal goals and improve their overall wellness.
