Garrett Markgraf CT, Intern Garrett Markgraf (he/him) is a Counselor Trainee (CT) working towards his M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Cleveland State University. Garrett’s first career was in theatre, for which he received a BFA in Musical Theatre from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Garrett plans to work with young people (children & adolescents) and members of the LGBTQ+ community, specifically queer youth and their families. As a counselor, Garrett utilizes an array of theoretical foundations and approaches - including, but not limited to: Person-Centered, Holistic/Somatic, Queer/Feminist, Relational, Existential, Play/Art, Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral, Culturally-Responsive & Trauma-Informed. As a human being, Garrett enjoys spending time out in nature with his Partner, Greg (they/them), and their fur-babies, Gene Kelly (dog) & Mickey Rooney (cat). Garrett can often be found gardening, reading (mostly history, memoirs/biographies, PGM experience & fiction, and mental health topics), and making art! Garrett’s pronouns are he/him/his. Garrett sees clients in-person and virtually. Garrett is under the supervision of Carolyn Queen, LPCC-S
