Emily Smith

Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Grow Well Cleveland, LLC. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, earning both from Cleveland State University. Emily has experience working at a community agency treating adolescent and adult clients with a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, and trauma. She has also assisted clients with exploring personal identity, life transitions, and improving self-esteem. In addition, Emily focuses on her development as an LGBTQIA+ affirming and culturally competent therapist.
 
Emily strives to foster a strong collaborative therapeutic alliance where clients feel supported and empowered to share their stories. Emily works through a trauma-informed lens and draws from a person-centered and cognitive-behavioral approaches to meet clients where they are in their self-exploration journey. Clients can expect to be met with empathy and compassion while developing healthy coping skills and working towards personal goals.
 
In her spare time Emily enjoys creating art, listening to music, playing video games, spending time with family and friends, and hiking local trails.
