Trisha Zivkovic

Trisha earned her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University (CSU) and is a licensed professional counselor (LPC).

Trisha strives to create a comfortable, non-judgmental, and collaborative therapeutic relationship in which the client’s goals are prioritized throughout the counseling process . When working with her, clients can expect to be met with empathy, accountability, support, and a belief in the ability to foster positive change in their lives.

Trisha is a therapist who uses a mix of feminist, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, and internal family systems approaches in her work. She’s passionate about empowerment and social justice, particularly in work with members of the LGBTQIA+ population, helping clients navigate unique challenges while honoring lived experiences. With cognitive-behavioral techniques, Trisha works with clients to challenge negative thought patterns and incorporates dialectical behavior therapy to support emotional regulation and adaptive communication. Using internal family systems, Trisha helps clients explore inner dynamics for deeper self-discovery and healing. A major focus of her practice includes mindfulness and grounding techniques, such as breath work, yoga, grounding exercises, and journaling - which are prioritized to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness, reduce anxiety, and promote emotion regulation. By anchoring themselves in the here and now, clients can better manage distressing thoughts and feelings, making it easier to navigate a range of presenting concerns, from trauma and stress to depression and anxiety. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where clients can build resilience and work toward a more fulfilling life.
