Jessie Zielinski CT, Intern Jessie is a counseling intern with Grow Well Cleveland. Jessie took the scenic route on her journey towards becoming a professional counselor, receiving her bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Cleveland State University. After working for the past 10 years as an exercise specialist, as well as a swim coach of both children and adults, she decided to move into the counseling profession. Jessie is currently working on her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Jessie’s counseling philosophy relies heavily on the therapeutic alliance and the genuine bond that forms between counselor and client. By cultivating a safe, welcoming space for honest communication, Jessie aims to connect with clients and empower them to be their genuine selves. Jessie draws from person-centered and cognitive-behavioral approaches but believes that each client’s needs may call for different methodologies. Jessie also highly value multicultural counseling methods and looks forward to hearing each client’s unique story. In her spare time, Jessie enjoys playing soccer, dabbling in art projects, and hanging out with her golden retriever, Hank. Jessie’s preferred pronouns are she/her.
