Cheyanne Smith

Cheyanne Smith is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Grow Well Cleveland, LLC and holds a Counselor Trainee (CT) License with the State of Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cleveland State University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Cleveland State University.

Prior to entering the counseling field, Cheyanne worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), supporting children and families in developing skills that promote independence, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. This experience strengthened her passion for helping individuals navigate challenges while recognizing and building upon their unique strengths.

Her counseling approach is collaborative, affirming, and client-centered. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Feminist Theory, she works with clients to better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical coping skills and fostering self-empowerment. She believes that each person is the expert on their own life and strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, understood, and respected.

Cheyanne enjoys working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and is passionate about helping clients build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change aligned with their personal values and goals.
Outside of counseling, she enjoys aerial arts, circus disciplines, gaming, and spending time engaging in creative pursuits.
