Kristin Shufelt

Kristin Shufelt is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Provisionally Registered Art Therapist in Ohio.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College.  Kristin works with children (6+), adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and trauma. Additionally, she works with the older adult population (65+) focusing on cognitive impairment and end-of-life concerns.  Kristin utilizes unconditional positive regard, person-centered, and strength-based approaches when working within the frameworks of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Art Psychotherapy.
 
Kristin takes pride in creating a safe and trusting environment and a strong therapeutic alliance, with the aim of helping clients acquire personal insight into areas of desired growth.  She values providing affirmative, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed care that is tailored to each client’s unique experience and needs and would be honored to accompany and support you on your therapeutic journey.
