Lexi Siss

Lexi Siss is a current Cleveland State University graduate student obtaining her Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Lexi has previously received a Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology with a minor of interpersonal communication from Kent State University. She has also dedicated 3 years of undergraduate studies to learning American Sign Language at a proficient level. During those 3 years she learned more about Deaf culture and continued to expand on that knowledge in projects she pursued at the masters level. This experience made Lexi passionate about the importance of a multicultural lens when working with clients.

Believing in the power of being the expert on your own story, Lexi strives to meet individuals where they are at and trust their expertise on their own narrative. She aims to help clients sort through and arrange their lived story in ways that uplift and empower them to be authentically themself. Her background in interpersonal communication enables her to connect with clients compassionately and effectively.

Lexi is eager to apply her interpersonal skills in working with fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community as much as she is passionate about working with individuals in relationships and partnerships of all kinds. She is dedicated to advancing social justice and providing affirming care through trauma-informed and holistic perspectives. Lexi looks forward to providing a space for you to be held with unconditional positive regard, respect, and empowerment.

In her free time Lexi enjoys listening to the same 5 songs on repeat until she gets sick of them and finds 5 new ones to put in rotation. She also enjoys playing video games, rewatching sitcoms, reading fiction, and spending time with her family.
