Kabir Syed MFA, M.Ed., LPCC, Counselor With over 20 years of experience as both a licensed counselor and professor, I have dedicated my career to supporting and educating individuals through life’s most complex and challenging transitions. Whether you're navigating individual, relationship, family issues, trauma, anxiety, or depression, I offer a safe, inclusive, and compassionate space for healing and awareness. I’ve worked with clients from diverse backgrounds—including individuals, couples, at-risk youth, foster/adoptive families, and college students—and I bring a culturally responsive lens to all my work. My approach is highly personalized and trauma-informed, drawing from evidence-based practices such as CBT, solution-focused and narrative therapy, with a deep belief in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship. I also use Somatic awareness (i.e. attention of our bodies interconnection with our thoughts, emotions, feelings and life experiences). Along with talk therapy, I integrate compassionate mindfulness into my work. I am a certified 200hr yoga teacher currently volunteering with the Prison Yoga Project, facilitating yoga sessions for incarcerated youth. Healing takes time and is a process; it is often scary and challenging. I’m here to support you through your unique path of growth. Kabir’s pronouns are he/him/his.
