Ally McCarley

Ally is a licensed professional clinical counselor, supervisor, and a registered art therapist who has experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Visual Communications from Ohio University and dual Master’s degrees from Ursuline College in Counseling and Art Therapy. Ally has worked in a variety of clinical settings. These include outpatient counseling with kids/adolescents, day treatment with children in an academic and therapeutic environment, and residential substance abuse treatment for adolescents. 

As an art therapist, Ally strives to find a creative way to connect with clients. In addition to art therapy, Ally is also trained in EMDR through an EMDRIA approved training program, she utilizes this approach along with other trauma-informed approaches including parts work, mindfulness, movement, and therapeutic play to support the individual needs of clients. She values an eclectic, trauma-informed approach, and believes a unique plan is necessary and important in helping each person meet their individualized therapeutic goals.
