April Elsasser

April Elsasser is a licensed professional counselor at Grow Well Cleveland. April earned a B.A. in Psychology at Cleveland State University in addition to an Associates in Arts and Humanities at Lorain County Community College. April also holds a Masters degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Ursuline College. Throughout her clinical career, April has worked with a multitude of demographics and populations. April has worked within inpatient and outpatient hospital settings practicing medical art therapy with pediatric patients and art psychotherapy with adult psychiatric patients. 

April pays special attention to and affirms with marginalized communities in Cleveland experiencing tribulations as a result of economic, political, environmental, and social oppression. April employs a feminist and wellness based perspective within her clinical practice while upholding an eclectic-informed lens throughout treatment. April's treatment approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, humanistic, strength-based, narrative, existential, and person centered modalities. 

In her spare time you will find April traveling, attending concerts, keeping active at the gym, and watching The Office. 

April sees clients at both the Lakewood and Ohio City offices.
